Channel Buoys

If you have been through the channel on your boat this Spring, you may have noticed the buoys were not quite in the right places. This is due to the high water and the unusually windy conditions we’ve had recently. Waterfront Services has been notified and will be out to tweak them as soon as possible. We have also asked them to add two more buoys to better identify where the sand bar comes out.

The newly dredged channel is approximately 100 feet long, 6 feet deep, and 30 feet wide with a 6-1 horizontal to vertical ratio on the sides. These are the specifications our permit allowed. This project was completely funded by private donations. THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO DONATED!
