2026 Annual Meeting
The FOLH Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Ideal Township Town Hall/Community Center at 9:00 AM. The address for the Ideal Town Hall/Community Center is: 35458 Butternut Point Rd #3643, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472.
Our guest speaker, Ray Nelson, local historian and retired Manager of the Corps of Engineers dam in Crosslake, will be speaking on “glimpses of the past found in layers of time”. This year’s talk will be different than his past appearance in 2023, but with a similar theme of learning about those who once occupied the spaces we currently do. Come hear lots of interesting facts and have a chance to ask the questions you’ve always wondered about! Also hear the latest updates on starry stonewort, the current financial standings of FOLH, and anything else lake related. Coffee and Pine River Bakery donuts provided!
2026 Boat Parade/Dock Decor
The Lower Hay Lake Boat Parade/Decorate Your Dock event will be held on Saturday, July 4th, 2026 at 3:00 PM. (This time will accommodate folks that want to go to the noon parade in Pequot Lakes). Participate in your boat, decorate your dock, or simply spectate with your peeps! It’s a great way to entertain your guests! A prize will be given for best in both categories. Boats meet at the launch area about 2:30 PM. See you on the lake!
2026 Snarky Loon Happy Hour
Please join other FOLH members for the annual Happy Hour on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Snarky Loon in Jenkins. Appetizers will be provided by FOLH. It will be individual tabs for drinks, so stop for a beverage and stay to connect with Lower Hay Lake neighbors and share some of your favorite moments of summer 2026! We hope to see you there!
